The Great Wall of China was built in the 5th century B.C. during the Ming Dynasty. The reason it was constructed
was to provide protection from the northern borders of the Chinese Empire. The wall is over 6,400 kilometers long.
The most famous part of the wall was built between 220 B.C, and 200 B.C. by the first emperor of China. The wall gradually
deteriorated because of weathering and age. It was rebuilt during the 16th Century. The Great Wall of China is
trully one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world.
